BC, Vilnius, 14.06.2016.Print version
Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil) was the top company of the Lithuanian Klaipeda seaport in terms of revenue last year, leaving behind Klasco stevedoring company both by cargo turnover and revenue from sales, informed LETA/BNS, referring to Verslo Zinios.

Klaipedos Nafta's revenue soared by a factor of 2.8 last year, net profits increased by a factor of 2.4 and the EBITDA doubled. The record-breaking results were due to operations of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, cargo from Orlen Lietuva and the flow of freight from Belarusian factories.

Meanwhile, Klasco ranked second among Klaipeda stevedoring companies in terms of revenue last year, handling about a third of all cargo at the seaport. Operated by Achemos Grupe concern, the company kept its volume of operations at a similar level from 2014 last year – at 12.2 million tons of cargo. Revenue was also virtually unchanged, however, profits before taxes dropped by 23% to 5.7 million euros.
