U.S. starts military support programs for Baltic states again

(MENAFN) The US Department of State maintained military support projects for Baltic states after an evaluation, as reported by media on Tuesday.

“The US Department of State has reinstated the military fund program, through which Lithuania buys military equipment and gear, as well as the international student program, which provides training for about 10 Lithuanian officers in the US every year,” Lithuanian Ambassador informed a news website.

Based on the online site, the projects value tens of millions of euros yearly and they are not exactly connected to the aid given by the Pentagon or the deployment of US troops in Lithuania.
Now about 1,000 US troops are located in Lithuania by taking turns.

In February, the Donald Trump government reported that it had stopped all external support to manage a revision.
