Arizona man sentenced to prison for grooming, kidnapping Utah teen

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — An Arizona man was sentenced to prison after he kidnapped a 13-year-old from Layton for criminal sexual activity.

Tadashi Kura Kojima, also known as Aaron Michael Zeman, 29, of Tucson, Arizona, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.

Kojima reportedly pleaded guilty in November 2024 to transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Kojima admitted that between December 26, 2022, and December 28, 2022, he traveled from Arizona and kidnapped the child, the U.S. Attorney's Office District of Utah said.

They were located in Nebraska, and Kojima was arrested.
